Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about the MPP Direct Vehicle Maintenance Program.

  1. Q:  What is MPP Direct?
    A:  MPP Direct is a comprehensive pre-paid vehicle appearance and maintenance protection program.   This program is NOT an extended warranty.  MPP Direct pays for items related to maintaining your vehicles general performance, tires, and appearance (see coverage booklet for details) 

  2. Q:  What vehicle maintenance items are covered?
    A:  MPP Direct provides for a specific number of “maintenance service intervals” (MSI) per plan.  Each MSI can be used to pay for; oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flush, safety inspections, wiper replacements, etc. up to your maximum dollar benefit per interval. 

  3. Q:  Where can I have my vehicle maintenance performed with MPP Direct?
    A:  MPP Direct allows you to have your maintenance performed at any nationally recognized vehicle service center, quick lube location, franchise auto dealership, or tire center that can accept debit card transactions.

  4. Q:  How is the maintenance intervals approved at the service locations?
    A:  There is no pre-authorization required; this is NOT a reimbursement program.  MPP Direct is the only pre-paid maintenance program that  issues each customer uses a personalized pre-paid debit card to process your maintenance service interval payment transaction.  Upon conclusion of your maintenance service, swipe your MPP debit card like any other bank card at the cashier station.  Your card will authorize up to the maximum benefit amount allotted per interval.  Your MPP prepaid debit card will be re-loaded within 45 days after each interval to allow you ease of use and on top of your scheduled maintenance events.

  5. Q:  How many maintenance service intervals (MSI) does my plan include?
    A:  The number of MSI is dependent on your coverage plan.  Our plans offer a minimum of two (2) MSI per year, up to three (3) MSI per year, and terms of One, two, and three years in length.

  6. Q:  What are the other benefits included in the MPP Direct Coverage Plans?
    A:  Each MPP Direct plan include the following benefits; Sign & Drive Emergency Roadside Assistance, Road Hazard Tire and Wheel protection, Sign & Drive Paint-less Dent Repair, Sign & Drive Windshield repair, Tire Rewards (tire replacement benefits), Rental Car Reimbursement, Alert Notification and digital private health record membership, Domestic Trip Routing Assistance, National Hotel chain discounts, National Rental Car discounts, and many automotive related discounts and incentives.  Each plan has over $2500 - $7000 in benefit value!   7. Q: What number do I call for Emergency Roadside Assistance services?
    A: Please call, 877-600-9686 and select the “Emergency Roadside Assistance” menu option.

  8. Q: Who should I contact if my MPP Direct Prepaid Debit card will not work?
    A: Please call, card customer services at 866-466-8077.

  9. Q: Who should I contact if my MPP Direct Prepaid Debit card has been lost or stolen?
    A: Please call, card customer services at 866-466-8077.

  10. Q: How do I authorize my MPP Direct Prepaid Debit card?
    A: Your new MPP Direct Prepaid Debit card needs to be activated prior to use. Please call 866-466-8077 from a touch tone phone and follow the instructions provided.

  11. Q: How can I find out the remaining balance on my card?
    A: Please call MPP Direct Customer Service at 877-466-8077.

  12. Q: How can I find out when my next scheduled service interval should be?
    A: Your coverage terms are outlined in your introductory letter, as well as in the inside covers of your coverage booklet.  For additional questions, please call MPP Direct Customer Service at 877-600-9686.

  13. Q: I am driving to Canada in two weeks; will the emergency roadside assistance be available there as well?
    A: Yes, your MPP Plan includes “Sign & Drive” coverage (meaning you incur no out of pocket expense up to the MBA) throughout the U.S. and Canada, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

  14. Q: Who should I contact if I am planning an upcoming trip and would like a map of the area?
    A: Please call MPP Direct Customer Service at 877-600-9686.

  15. Q: What is the process of submitting a claim for a benefit of the program?
    A: Please refer to pages 10-11 in your MPP Direct Coverage Booklet.

  16. Q: Where can I find the list of hotel and rental car discounts?

Don’t Lose Your Grip

Tires are a car’s only connection to the road, so making sure they are in good shape and properly inflated is essential for automotive safety and optimum driving performance.  Properly inflated tires can improve gas mileage by around 3.3 percent, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
